Required Equipment
If you do not have these items, you will be asked to buy them. If you do not have the money to buy them, you will not be allowed to play!
Proper Eye Protection -- Eye Protection must be of a "goggles" type that is commercially produced and intended for use in AIRSOFT play. No "shooting glasses" or "safety glasses" are allowed. All Eye Protection must be fully sealing with a foam or rubber seal and include a safety strap. This strap must be securely integrated into the goggle at all times. No Mesh eye protection is allowed without a backup set underneath.
Face Protection -- ALL PLAYERS REGARDLESS OF AGE must have proper face protection. Face protection is very lenient in regards to the material that it is made of. So long as there is at least 1 layer of cloth covering your mouth, face, and ears, then you are properly protected according to the rule. A shemagh, balaclava, or steel mesh mask are all great examples of proper face protection. We highly recommend that you use something hard made from either plastic or metal, however, a simple shemagh or bandana will do.
Players over the age of 18 are not required to wear face protection at all times, however, they must still possess it and be prepared to do so at any given time.
Barrel Sock/Sleeve -- These covers are made for paintball or airsoft and include a retaining strap such as a bungee. This is not a towel, a sock from your sock drawer, a glove, or any other improvised device. These items are readily sold at the field for about $5. They are required. Please bring one or bring money to buy one.
Dead Rag -- This piece of red cloth (at least 12'' x 12'') should be carried on your person at all times! When you are hit, this rag will indicate to others to stop shooting at you! Red bandanas can be bought at walmart in a 2 pack for $2.00 and will function as a deadrag.
Glow stick and Flashlight -- (NIGHT PLAY ONLY) These items must be carried at all times. Your glowstick will act as your deadrag and the flashlight will help you navigate the trails between fields. These items are required for safety!
A source of hydration -- WATER! You must have water! Water may not be available. Do not expect free water. Do not come to the field unprepared! If you look dehydrated, you will be removed from play until you are sufficiently re-hydrated and do not pose a health risk to yourself
Chrono Procedure - NOTE: You must check in and sign a waiver prior to chrono
*Put on all your safety equipment, including eye protection and face protection (so the admin can verify that you have proper equipment)
*Bring 1 empty magazine for each gun that you will chrono.
*It is customary to chrono all rifles and CO2 non-blowback pistols. In the summer months, green gas pistols may also be chrono'd for safety
*An admin will load your empty magazine with .20gr BBs. You must provide any gas that is necessary to shoot your guns. Co2 guns will be asked to prime a fresh 12 gram Co2 in front of the admin at chrono. Your first shot must be tested.
*KEEP YOUR BARREL SOCK ON UNTIL IT IS YOUR TURN TO SHOOT INTO THE CHRONO
*You will allow the admin to guide your weapon's muzzle into the chrono, or you will surrender your weapon to the admin at the chrono
*You will give 3 qualifying shots, one at a time, to the admin so that he can get a valid reading.
*Once finished, you will drop your magazine, clear the weapon, and replace your barrel sock.
FPS LIMITS - (.20 gr BBs)
Cold Gun / Machine Pistol - 300fps
Pistols, shotguns - 350fps
AEGs, Support, GBBR, Spring Rifles - 400fps
Sniper Rifle, DMR - 500fps
SAFETY RULES
1.) Goggles On! -- All fields are marked with boundaries. Before leaving the staging zone and entering a play field or a path to a play field (this includes the main road), you must don your eye protection and face protection. Failure to do this will result in ejection from the game, and possibly the property. Players over the age of 18 may optionally use their face protection unless in a specific, CQB-only area such as within the walls of a building where engagement distances are likely to be 20 feet or less. Adult players are still required to carry their face protection and must be able to put it on without removing their eye protection.
2) Barrel Socks On in the staging area -- After a game is over, you must drop your magazine, clear your weapon of any remaining rounds, and secure your barrel sock. Do this before proceeding to the staging area or to a new field. Any time the game is not on, you must place a barrel sock onto your weapon to prevent negligent discharge. Help others do the same by observing your neighbors and reminding them to use their barrel socks. This rule protects you from the negligence of others! Take it seriously!
3) No blind firing -- You must always be able to see what you are shooting at. Do not blindly fire around corners, bunkers, trees, or other obstacles. Do not shoot blindly behind yourself while retreating from the enemy.
4) Minimum Engagement Distance
Additional weapon restrictions
*All weapons must look like their intended class. Machine Pistols must be exactly that. A weapon in pistol caliber with a folding stock, collapsable stock, or no stock. A short barrel under 8'' is also required. No rifle replicas may be fielded in this category regardless of features.
*Sniper rifles and DMRs must be semi auto or bolt action only. No sniper rifle can be capable of full auto. You must mechanically disable any full auto feature by means of lockout screw or modification of the mechanism to disable full auto. An AEG can only be considered a DMR if it has long range optics such as a scope and 2 of the 3 following features. Long Barrel, Bipod, Full stock (sniper-intended adjustable stocks are okay)
*When firing inside a building, please use semi auto only unless you have an authorized "cold gun."
To fire full auto, a player's rifle barrel must break the plane of a window and physically penetrate to the outside. Only then is full auto authorized.
5) No Physical Contact -- No aggressive physical contact such as fighting, pushing, shoving, or CQC tactics. Do not grab another persons gun, knife, or other equipment or physically contact them in any way with your hands, feet, or body.
6) Knife kills -- Knife kills with a plastic, rubber, wood, or polymer training knife is permitted. No metal training knives and no dull-edge real knives may be permitted.
To use a knife in a knife kill, you may lightly tap your opponent on his person with the knife. Do not stab, slap, slash, or jab.
7) Surrender Rules / Safety Kill Rules -- There are no safety kills. Nor is there a rule that requires you to surrender or ask someone to surrender. However, we do ask that when you have gained a position directly behind a player in such a way that he is unaware of your position, that you do offer him the chance to surrender.
The proper way to "surrender" someone is to do so from the back, pistol drawn. Firmly call "SURRENDER!" to your opponent. If the opponent does not immediately surrender, then shoot him in the body, legs, or equipment with your pistol. Please avoid shooting someone in the head. If you do not have a pistol, then you may attempt this with your rifle from at least 20 feet away.
8) Smoke Grenades and Thunder B's must be thrown from the underhand position. Do not overhand throw these items. Thunder B grenades have a 20' Kill Radius if they explode and will automatically eliminate anyone who touches them! DO NOT PICK UP THUNDER Bs OR SMOKE GRENADES ONCE THEY HAVE BEEN THROWN
9) Do not tech guns on the field. If your gun breaks down, please adjust them in the staging area, test firing them only in the chrono range. NO ADJUSTMENT TOOLS may be brought onto the field. No on-field adjustments of guns.
10) Blind Man Rule -- If a player loses his eye protection completely or there is a medical emergency, all players must immediately stop play. To call an emergency stop to the game, call out "BLIND MAN!" If you hear "BLIND MAN!" being called, then you should also repeat this call to others so that they can also hear it.
Once you hear the blind man call, stop playing and drop to one knee. Place your gun on the ground or sling it and then place both hands on top of your head such as a suspect being arrested by a police officer. Remain in this position and do not remove your eye protection.
When the emergency has been resolved, admins will call you up by saying "ALL CLEAR!" When you hear the "ALL CLEAR!" call, you should repeat this call so everyone can hear it. Pick up your weapon, rise to your feet, and await the Admin call to resume play. DO NOT RESUME PLAY AUTOMATICALLY
